The Bushido Karate Dojo was established in Ra'anana, Israel in September 2006 by Nigel Kersh. The Bushido school teaches Shotokan karate in association with the code of the ancient Japanese samurai, or bushiThis code was called Bushido, literally the "way of the warrior", and characterizes the morals and ethics devised by the ancient Japanese samurai.   The Bushido code upheld the following seven principles:

  • Chuugi - Loyalty
  • Meiyo - Honor
  • Makoto - Truthfulness
  • Rei - Politeness
  • Jin - Benevolence
  • Yuu - Bravery
  • Gi - Justice

The philosophy behind the Bushido Karate Israel is to enhance its students physical and mental discipline and to ultimately lead them along the do, or path to total character development and inner peace.

Bushido Karate Israel is affiliated with the Bushido karate association of Scotland, founded by sensei Donald MacInnes, 8th dan in 1974.  Sensei MacInnes was Nigel Kersh's first karate instructor.
